efsli and efsliDI are pleased to announce that the next 8th annual efsliDI seminar will take place from 4th to 5th September 2019
Topic of the seminar:
“Let’s have a fika – Culture in a cup!”
Interpreting in, between and about Cultures
Trainers:
– Juli Af Klintberg (Deaf)
Juli Af Klintberg is from Stockholm and was born deaf in a hearing family. She has worked with many languages and cultures, including sign languages. She has worked as International Sign Interpreter over 25 years and will lead the workshop these two days.
–Eva Norberg (Deaf)
Eva Norberg, from Leksand and was born deaf in a deaf family. She has been working in a school in the North Part of Sweden, named Västanviks Folkhögskola over 30 years with variety tasks.
Eva will give a speech on the 4th of September about cultures between deaf and hearing, between deaf and deaf through the work of and with deaf refugees.
The seminar will be held in Malmö (Sweden) according to the following schedule:
Wednesday, 4th of September 2019 – 9am-6pm
Thursday, 5th of September 2019 – 9am-6pm

Who can register?
Sign language interpreters interested in the seminar topic.
The efsliDI annual seminar will be open also to hearing interpreters. Training will be delivered in International Sign. No interpretation service will be provided.
Important:
Your registration at the seminar will be confirmed by email.
Please do not book your accommodation or flight until your place at the seminar has been confirmed. Or if you do so, it will be at your own risk.
Selection of participants will be made according to the “first come, first served” basis.
Training will take place if the required minimum number of participants has registered.
How much does it cost?
The registration fee includes tuition and coffee breaks. Lunch is not included.
Participants will have to arrange for their own accommodation and travel.
Payments must be made the same day of registration. If not, your registration is not valid.

Cancellation policy:
Please be advised that if you wish to cancel your registration then the following applies.
If your cancellation is received:
- before 1st of August 2019: 50% refund minus bank transfer fee
- after 1st of August 2019: no refund
Changes in registration is 50 Euro. This charge will be applied if you decide not to cancel your registration but send someone else instead of you. Cancellations must be sent by email to admin@efsli.org and need to be confirmed by efsli.
