2021 efsli annual Conference

Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September 2021

Our annual conference is back and will open its doors online on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September 2021. Mark the dates on your diary as well as the conference theme: “Interpreter 4.0 – Towards a virtual reality? Challenging new connections and human relationships”.

Join us to discuss about the latest digital developments and how the Covid outbreak has already and will considerably change the daily working routine of interpreters and translators. Are you familiar with machine translation, avatars, connected gloves, artificial intelligence, online dictionary, video interpretation? Connect online to learn more, share your own experiences and be part of this digital revolution!

This two-day journey will be led by our conference presenters and by our special keynote speaker – Jonathan Downie, conference interpreter, consultant, researcher, writer and speaker on interpreting.

We are also ready to offer a vibrant social programme to build valuable networks in the “traditional efsli style” – come along to meet old friends from across Europe and make new ones!
